Life's Party

Lesson:  Give Thanks
Bible Passage:

"When you are at a party, do you plan to have a good time and talk to people and enjoy yourself?  Or do you go expecting to be miserable and to make everyone else as miserable as possible?  And what do your folks tell you to do as you are leaving the party?  Do they tell you to say 'thank you' to the host of the party?"

"Every day, God gives us a party.  God gives us the music of the birds and the warmth of the sun and the refreshment of the rain.  We are surrounded by family and loved ones and there is always so many fun things to do.  Every day, I want you to enjoy the party that God has put in front of you.  And every night, when you are ready for bed, remember to thank the host."

"Let's say a prayer.  Let's say 'thank you' to God, for all the wonderful things that have been given to us today.  And help us to remember to be a gracious and appreciative guest.  For all these gifts and blessings, we say 'thank you' and let the children say, 'Amen.'"
